I am an Early Childhood Special Education teacher who is passionate about helping young children feel safe, supported, successful, and excited about learning. I have over 18 years of experience in early childhood education and this classroom has been the most rewarding work of my career. I hold dual certification in Early Childhood and Special Education and earned my bachelor's degree from [University Name].
My experience includes supporting students with a wide range of developmental, communication, sensory, behavioral, academic, and social-emotional needs within an inclusive preschool environment. I first joined Room [#] in 2018 as a paraprofessional and later transitioned into the role of lead teacher—a dream come true!
I believe every child is capable of growth, and I strive to create a classroom where students feel understood, celebrated, and encouraged while learning at their own pace.

Our classroom uses play-based learning, visual supports, AAC strategies, structured routines, sensory supports, and individualized instruction to help students build communication, confidence, independence, and meaningful relationships.
Children begin their preschool day by practicing arrival routines, exploring the playground, and transitioning into the classroom.
Starting preschool can feel exciting and overwhelming all at once, and it's completely normal for children to need time to adjust to new routines and expectations. Our priority is helping every child feel safe, supported, and comfortable at school.
Comfort items, family photos, or small loveys are always welcome if they help your child feel more secure during the transition.
Circle time includes songs, movement activities, stories, communication practice, and opportunities to build classroom friendships.
Students are encouraged to participate in ways that feel successful for them, whether through speaking, AAC devices, gestures, visuals, or active participation.
This is one of our favorite times to build classroom community and practice important social and communication skills together.
Morning work helps students build independence, confidence, and readiness for learning through hands-on activities and structured routines.
